Melbourne To Do

Summer is well and truly upon us in Melbourne town, and for most the humble fish and chip dinner is synonymous with hot, beachy days. Having said that, sometimes we want to fancy it up a bit – that’s where Tommy Ruff comes in.

Hiding slightly off Elsternwick’s main street, Tommy Ruff is serving up fish and chips like you’ve never seen before, with a focus on the freshest produce and a laid back experience that will have you coming back time and time again. For all you devout fish and chip lovers, fear not; there’s still all your beloved staples (read: calamari rings, potato cakes and dim sims). It’s also a pretty cool place to hang out – with a colourful, New England crab shack kinda vibe that screams summer.

There’s a huge selection on offer, but, for me the real star of the show was the seafood. Trying to choose between the seafood platter and the tacos was killing my sister and I, but you know what? THE SEAFOOD PLATTER COMES WITH TACOS. Problem solved.

Between aforementioned taco knowledge and the air con, I was already sold. Then came the most incredible seafood platter I’ve ever eaten:
